Jainism

The Jainist tradition is the one religion which comes closest to practicing the credos that it adheres to.

In the West, Jains are known primarily for the practice of ahimsa, or nonviolence, to all beings. Environmentalists often suggest that Jainism epitomizes ecological religion, since Jains embrace vegetarianism, and practice nonviolence to all beings, including plants, earth, air, and water.(1)
